The examples you posted display some very oversized jewelry. Hard cartilage like that or like that of the conch or tragus piercings really do not swell a considerable amount, and therefore do not need to have much larger jewelry placed initially. The jewelry should be flush on both sides of the piercing without squeezing. If it's open-fit, you should be able to use any tragus jewelry. If they are earmolds, and you can fit the piercing in, I would recommend using labret jewelry to be on the safe side. I have my tragus pierced and used earplugs at night, every night while it was healing and had zero issues with the healing. Fellow mechanic here, I got my tragus a week ago knew I wouldn’t be able to wear my usual in ear plugs so for the time being Please don't get a piercing if your only motivation is to reduce your migraines, it doesn't work. At best, it is purely a placebo effect. It is however an awesome piercing. If you do get a daith (can't comment on tragus) no earbuds for 12 months or so. Thanks for your honest opinion.
